Shay Mitchell, who is of Filipino descent on her mother's side, is a native of Toronto, Canada. 

Shay has always been interested in both acting and performing arts, and, therefore, she began taking dance lessons at the young age of five. 

Her dancing career took off, and she began to dance competitively throughout her hometown of Toronto. 

Very shortly after moving to British Columbia, an international modeling agency was searching for new faces, and Shay was selected, which gave her a chance to go to places like Barcelona and Shanghai. 

She is currently one of the dreamy, brunette fibbers on ABC's TV Series, “Pretty Little Liars.”

Ming-Na, which is Chinese for the word 'enlightenment,' was born in Macau, China.  After her mother got divorced and remarried to an American businessman, the family moved to her husband's hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where his family runs the Chinatown Inn restaurant.  Even though it was difficult for Ming-Na to fit in at school as a young girl, that didn't stop her from pursuing her career as an actress.  She went on to study at Carnegie Mellon University and got her degree in Theater. 

After that, she moved to Los Angeles, California and got married in 1995.  She has starred in TV Series such as, “As the World Turns.”  She currently manages a band with her husband called, “At Last.”  


Chinese Movie Heartthrob, Françoise Yip, Breaks More than Hearts

Françoise Yip was born to a Chinese father and a French-Canadian mother in British Columbia, Canada. 

She may appear to be innocent and gentle in her photo shoots, but some of Yip's hidden talents include performing her own stunts, and martial arts moves on screen, professional firearm training, dancing and piano classes, amongst many other sports. 

Interestingly enough, given the national background that she has, she speaks English, French and some Cantonese quite fluently. 

In her younger years, she used to host a Canadian sports program on television, which helped her to get to the big screen. 

She has starred in several big picture movies like, “Blade: Trinity” and “Rumble in the Bronx.”

Tao Okamoto first came to this earth on May 22nd, 1985 to Chiba, Japan.  She is a fairly new actress to the film scene, but has already been accepted to movies like "Wolverine" and the upcoming film, "Batman Versus Superman: Dawn of Justice." 

Her fame exposed itself through her modeling, as she had started doing it at the age of 14.  In the year 2006, she decided to move to Paris to take her career more seriously and began stealing the limelight on European runways such as Louis Vuitton and Chanel.  Look out gentleman, she is a voracious vixen!

Lucy, who was born to immigrant parents from China, has been titled one of the most inspiration Asian Americans of all times.  Why?  Check out her list of movie successes like "Charlie's Angels" and "Kill Bill: Volume 1." 

In her spare time, she has tons of off-screen hobbies like taking martial arts classes, skiing, rock climbing, horseback riding, as well as playing the accordion.  To thicken the pot even more, she is a well-established photographer and artist and has displayed her collection of multimedia art in SoHo, New York galleries. 

Be very careful because she claims she's not the romantic type!!!
